The caregiver community

The wind in our sails, the fuel that ignites us, the essence and the heart

They are the wind in our sails, the fuel that ignites us, the essence and the heart of the organization, and they are here completely of their own choice. Our volunteer staff are the best caregivers, people, and hearts we could have dreamed of for our patients. They bring much more than just a magical touch.

Over the years we have created a caregiver community that comes to give, and in the process also gets a lot. To ensure that this community is well-nurtured and continues to grow, we trained a volunteer coordinator who oversees caregiver-wellbeing – from a shared WhatsApp group that enables members to exchange information and consult one another, to training and enrichment in the fields of complementary medicine and oncology; from meetings with colleagues from the realm of complementary medicine that engender mutual learning, to opportunities to enhance professional reputations; from cooperation between caregivers that lead to professional growth to community get-togethers, trips, parties, events, and opportunities to meet and sustain a strong, professional and unified community.

Volunteering at Ruach Dromit

Our caregivers are a wonderful collection of people with special personalities and excellent professional abilities, each in their own field. They bring with them substantial experience in complementary medicine and in treating oncology patients. Their choice to contribute from their knowledge and experience and to volunteer stimulates a different kind of calmness. Contrary to medical clinics, in Ruach Dromit there’s no ticking clock, a busy waiting room, or a need to rush. This giving comes from a profound and genuine place.

Caring for the caregiver

To ensure that our caregivers are loved and cared for, we offer them workshops, professional training, lectures, and mental and physical treatments, whose goal is to nurture and energize those who give.
